De gemeente Westerkwartier werkt met eIDAS-formulieren (European electronic identification and trust services(externe link)) om Europese burgers en bedrijven toegang te geven tot online diensten van de gemeente. Zij kunnen dan inloggen met het voor hun door Europa erkende inlogmiddel. Dit is een afspraak tussen de EU-lidstaten om Europese burgers en bedrijven bij alle Nederlandse organisaties in de publieke sector te laten inloggen met hun eigen nationale inlogmiddel.

The municipality of Westerkwartier uses eIDAS forms (European electronic identification and trust services(externe link)) to give European citizens and companies access to online services of the municipality. They can then log in using the login method recognized for them by Europe. This is an agreement between the EU member states to allow European citizens and companies to log in to all Dutch organizations in the public sector using their own national login means.

The muncipality records important life-events in the civil registry. These records are called certificates. If you need to provide proof of birth or need a copy of a death certificate, a marriage certificate, divorce or partner registration, you will need to apply for copy from the civil registry. The ‘Wet Open Overheid’ (WOO) gives a person the right to request information from the government or muncipality. If you want or need certain information from us, you  will need to submit a signed, written request. It is not possible to do this by phone or via email. This request should be as detailed as possible. Once we have received your request, we will examine which information we have and whether it can be provided to you. If there are specific reasons why we are not able to provide you with the information you have requested, we need to justify our decision. If you do not agree with our decision, you can file an appeal.

You are able to submit a request for soundtapes, photos, videos and documents. Your request should encompass information which the administrative body has at it’s disposal and should be concerned with policies, preparation or accomplishment of these policies.
